Kundalini is the idea that there is energy tightly woven around your coxix, at the base of your spine, and the aim of it is to unwind that energy and let it travel through your body and through the Crown chakra, letting you open your senses further and communicate with Higher Being/Energies...I think that's the idea, but I read it in some book ages and ages ago :S

Thats basicaly it agares its done by practicing kundalini yoga which envolves meditation mantra and exercises.Ive tried a few different meditation practices in the past with varying results but ive now discovered kundalini which has given the most instantanious results the meditations ive done have realy connected with me on what seem like new levels. So far ive only done some basic stuf that ive found online but im very keen to learn more. The nearest teacher ive found so far is in taunton but i dont drive so thats out the question for me.
hope that helped a bit

To be honest, Kundalini masters are hard to find nowadays! It's widely practiced, but not very well known: The Willow Tree may be able to help with books and stuff, but I'm not sure about masters! It seems quite interesting, but not so difficult, so maybe book learning will have to do for a while?

That'll teach me for taking an evening away from the computer ... I missed your arrival - I am very sorry for that but you are VERY welcome to the forum and hope that you will enjoy your time with us. One thing that I may have missed in your introduction ... are you a little bit insane? It will certainly help you if you are ... we all tend to be somewhat crazy!!! rofl

Next time you call into the shop, please introduce yourself (always assuming you will be returning to the shop!!)

Once again, welcome to the group.
