| I just stumbled across this site via facebook today so thought i'd come along and say hi...i am married with two beauitful boys aged 4 & 6 and live in North Herts in the UK. I am Pagan and my husband is well a 'nothing' happy believeing in nothing i suppose ?@? My children go to a state school and have both been registered as Pagans where it comes to religion.
We dont celebrate Christmas and i am Vegetarian, on the path to turning Vegan and the rest of the family are Veggie.
Since going to school we have encounted a few issues and now have to deal with the not celebrating christmas due to it being a Christian celebration, we do celebrate Yule and the 8 pagan festivals.
Are there any others out there trying to explain to a child christianity from a non belivers point to view? I'd love to hear what you are saying as it is quite challenging to do without enforsing my own beliefs into the equation....HELP!!!!!!
so if you wanna chat...let me know

by the sounds of things your gonna fit in just fine here
as for the current challenge your facing, well i dont know if its possable without the childs understanding that your just laying things out for him to make the decision as with any religion when you try to explain it to someone it is gonna sound like your preaching to those who arn't that interested in listening and those that dont care so if your child is both willing to listen and actually cares and understands that your just laying out the facts about whatever religion then there is no bias or preach from any other religion as all your doing is laying out facts.
when it comes to questions its usually a good thing to have someone of that religion present to help and obviously someone of a different one to keep the non-bias rule in effect
i hope i have been of some help and again welcome _________________ Blessed Be All
